You will enjoy some spectacular views by taking the hiking route to Castell de la Granadella from the beach’s parking area. It is a 3 km hike up the hill that takes around 45 minutes.
Unfortunately, we can not tell you much about the hike as when we visited the area we took a more passive approach. Instead of going for a hike we just had some beers on the beach. Sure the hike is lovely but nothing beats a cold drink by the beach in a Summer day!
Anyhow, you can find all the official information about the hike here >>
How to get to Cala Granadella beach, Javea.
The best way to get to Cala Granadella is by driving. It is spectacular a spectacular drive through a pine forest!.
Keep in mind that, while the beach is not very popular for tourists, it is very well known for locals. As it is not very big it gets very crowded in summer, especially at the weekends.
The parking area is a short minute walk from the beach. When it gets full you are forced to park up hill. The walk to the beach and back can be quite a lot, especially in the summer heat.
If you want to avoid crowds, we recommend you avoid visiting during the weekends of July and August, as the parking area might get full as early as 9am.
The good news is, if you go for an early start, you have a lovely bar just by the beach to enjoy a coffee and an epic breakfast.
