1. The most famous of the movies filmed in Seville, Spain: Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002)
Princess Amidala (Natalie Portman), young Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and R2D2 take a walk around Plaza de España, Naboo’s palace in the movie.
2. The most epic TV show filmed in town: Game of Thrones (2011)
Many scenes of Games of Thrones took place in Seville. The iconic Royal Alcazar (Real Alcázar de Sevilla) was Dorne’s Water Palace from season 5 onwards.
You can spot areas of the Royal Alcazar in episodes 5×02, 5×06, 5×07, 5×09 and 6×01.
However, the most spectacular filming location of the Games of Thrones in Seville is Italica.
Italica was a prominent city in Roman times and its ruins are a short 20 minute drive from Seville. They were the filming location for Dragonpit, the house of the Targaryen dragons.

Pilato’s House and the Royal Alcazar were the filming location to represent King Baldwin’s Palace in Jerusalem.
Is not without reason there are so many movies filmed in Seville. It has become one of the most popular filming locations in Spain.
