The 3 best restaurants in Las Canteras picked by locals
1. Las Canteras Restaurants: For a seafood and fish feast head to La Marinera
Located in an charming location at the end of the beach the restaurant is an institution in the island.
Their menu is largely based on the fresh catch of the day, the nicest seafood and classic local tapas.

Their food focuses on the quality of the product over the presentation. Some of our favorite specialties include clams, calamari, the tuna tartar and their fish croquettes.
The meats are also surprisingly good. However we do not recommend to have paellas here.

Do you need accommodation in Gran Canaria?
If you want to stay in the capital this lovely hotel in Las Canteras beach has a rooftop bar with epic views. It is also located walking distance to Parque Santa Catalina where you can take buses to the south of the island. Rooms from 59€. Check it out in Booking.com here>

2. For the best paella in Las Palmas: Tasca la Lonja
Tasca la Lonja is the most famous spot for paellas in Las Palmas and for a very good reason, they are delicious!
Seafood paella, meaty ones and even black rice with calamari ink… all of them delicious.
Las Canteras restaurants
As starters they have very fresh seafood dishes, octopus, salads… and everything is delicious.
3. Las Canteras best restaurant for tapas on a budget: El Ñoño
Everyone on the island knows this place as it has been there forever and every person from the city has, at some point, stop by for one of their famous calamari baguettes.
Las Canteras restaurants
They have a menu with classic tapas like calamari, garlic prawns, fried fish and so on. They do halves or full tapas so you will get to try many different ones.
Prices are amazingly cheap and it is a great spot to stop by after a morning in the beach to experience the full local life.

4. Other places in the beach we love:
La Bikina. A sweet place for a cocktail and a bite. Their tuna tartar is fresh and nice and their nasi gorrein pretty good too.
Heladería Peña la Vieja. Artisan ice creams to take away. Nothing like enjoying an ice cream while strolling around the promenade.
